In continuation of the Consolidated Advertisement No. 33/2025, published on 08-08-2025 in “DUNIYA” and “EXPRESS TRIBUNE” under Sr. No. 320, Case No. 30-RC/2025, regarding the recruitment of 101 (One Hundred and One) posts of Sub Divisional Enforcement Officer (BS-16) in the Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA), S&GAD, the syllabus for the written examination is as follows:


Written Examination Syllabus

Paper-I: General Knowledge

  • Type: MCQ-based

  • Marks: 100

  • Syllabus Includes:

    1. Pakistan Affairs

    2. Geography

    3. Everyday Science

    4. Mathematics

    5. Urdu and Islamic Studies (General Knowledge for Non-Muslim Candidates)

    6. Information Technology

    7. Use of Artificial Intelligence

    8. Current Affairs

    9. English

Note:
MCQs may include questions aimed to assess:

  • Logical Reasoning

  • Verbal Reasoning

  • Quantitative Reasoning


Paper-II: English Essay

  • Type: Descriptive

  • Marks: 100


Paper-III: Legal and Regulatory Framework

  • Type: MCQ-based

  • Marks: 100

  • Syllabus Includes:

1) General Legal Understanding:

  • Constitution of Pakistan

  • Legal Maxims and Statute Interpretation

  • Basic Procedural Fairness and Rights

2) Criminal & Procedural Laws:

  • The Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (CrPC): Arrests, searches, trials, and appeals

  • The Pakistan Penal Code, 1860 (PPC): Criminal liability, public offenses, and abetment

3) Laws Relevant to PERA:

  • The Punjab Enforcement and Regulation Act, 2024

  • The Punjab Price Control of Essential Commodities Act, 2024

  • The Punjab Prevention of Hoarding Act, 2020

  • The Colonization of Government Lands (Punjab) Act, 1912

  • The Punjab Tenancy Act, 1887

  • The Punjab Land Revenue Act, 1967

  • The Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (Operations and Procedures) Rules, 2025


Examination Phases

Phase-I:

  • All candidates will appear in Paper-I (General Knowledge) and Paper-III (Legal and Regulatory Framework) only.

Phase-II:

  • Candidates securing at least 40% marks (i.e., 40 out of 100) in each Paper (I and III) will be eligible to appear in Paper-II (English Essay).


Important Instructions

  1. Qualifying Criteria:

    • Minimum 40% marks in each paper

    • 50% aggregate marks to qualify

  2. Interview Call:

    • Qualified candidates will be called for interview in 1:5 ratio

  3. Negative Marking:

    • 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in MCQ-based papers

  4. Examination Center Policy:

    • No change in examination center or priority will be allowed

  5. Post-Written Assessment:

    • Qualifying candidates may be required to undergo a Written Psychological Assessment and Viva Voce
