1. Prescribed Qualification / Experience

Option A – Preferred Qualification

1. MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by PMDC / PMC.
2. Post-graduate qualification in the subject:
• D.Sc., Ph.D., M.D., M.Phil. (Pak) or equivalent recognized by PMDC / PMC.
3. Five (05) years teaching experience in the subject as Assistant Professor or equivalent in a recognized institution.
4. At least 3 research papers published in a standard medical journal while working as Assistant Professor.
5. Credit will be given for original research work published in standard medical journals.

Option B – Alternate Qualification (if no candidate with above is available)

1. Postgraduate Minor Diploma in the subject recognized by PMDC / PMC.
2. Three (03) years teaching experience as Demonstrator.
3. Seven (07) years experience as Assistant Professor.
4. At least 5 research papers published in standard medical journals while working as Assistant Professor.
5. Credit will be given for original research work published in standard medical journals.

2. Age Limit

For Male Candidates

• 30 to 50 years + 5 years relaxation = 55 years

For Female Candidates

• 30 to 50 years + 8 years relaxation = 58 years

For Transgender Candidates

• Age and sex will be determined based on CNIC.
