QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
a)
MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from an institute or university recognized by the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) / Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC); and
FCPS, MS, FRCS, MRCP, MD, or Diplomat of American Board in the respective specialty
OR
equivalent medical qualification in the respective specialty from an institute or university recognized by PMC/PMDC.
If none is available with the above qualifications, then:
MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from an institute or university recognized by PMC/PMDC; and
FCPS, MS, FRCS, MRCP, MD, or Diplomat of American Board (in General Surgery or Medicine, whichever is relevant to the respective specialty) or equivalent medical qualification recognized by PMC/PMDC; and
Three (03) years’ post-graduation practical experience in the respective specialty from a recognized institute.
b)
Three (03) years’ teaching experience in the subject as Associate Professor or an equivalent position recognized by the PMC/PMDC.
Provided that the total teaching experience as Assistant/Associate Professor is not less than eight (08) years; OR
Nine (09) years’ teaching experience as Assistant Professor in a recognized institution with at least five (05) research papers published in a standard medical journal while serving as Assistant/Associate Professor.
