1. Prescribed Qualification / Experience

Option A – Preferred Qualification

1. MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from an institute or university recognized by PMC / PMDC.
2. Post-graduate qualification in the respective specialty:
• FCPS, MS, FRCS, MRCP, MD, or Diplomate of American Board or equivalent recognized by PMC / PMDC.

Option B – Alternate Qualification (if no candidate with above is available)

1. MBBS or equivalent from a recognized institute or university.
2. FCPS, MS, FRCS, MRCP, MD, or Diplomate of American Board in General Surgery or Medicine (whichever is relevant to the specialty)
   OR equivalent qualification with three (03) years post-graduate practical experience in the respective specialty from a recognized institute.

Teaching Experience

• Five (05) years teaching experience in the specialty in a recognized institution as Assistant Professor or equivalent.
• At least three (03) research papers published in standard medical journals recognized by PMC / PMDC.

2. Age Limit

For Male Candidates

• 30 to 50 years + 5 years relaxation = 55 years

For Female Candidates

• 30 to 50 years + 8 years relaxation = 58 years

For Transgender Candidates

• Age and sex will be determined based on CNIC.
