Prescribed Qualification / Experience (As per Service Rules)

MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from an institute/university recognized by Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC).
AND FCPS / MS / FRCS / MRCP / MD / Diplomat of American Board in the respective specialty, or an equivalent qualification recognized by PMC/PMDC.

If none is available with the above qualifications, then:

MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by PMC/PMDC AND
FCPS / MS / FRCS / MRCP / MD / Diplomat of American Board (General Surgery or Medicine—whichever applies to the specialty), or equivalent qualification recognized by PMC/PMDC
PLUS three (03) years post-graduation practical experience in the respective specialty from a recognized institution.

Five (05) years teaching experience in the subject as Assistant Professor or equivalent position recognized by PMC/PMDC.
PLUS 3 research papers published in a standard medical journal while working as Assistant Professor.

Age Limit

Male: 30 to 50 years + 5 years general age relaxation = 55 years
Female: 30 to 50 years + 8 years general age relaxation = 58 years
Transgender: Age & sex will be considered as per CNIC.
