ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF ORAL PATHOLOGY
(On Regular Basis)
Qualifications & Experience:
i) First Preference
BDS or equivalent Dental qualification recognized by PMDC/PMC with one of the following postgraduate qualifications:
D.Sc.
Ph.D.
M.D.S. (Pak)
M.Phil.
Equivalent postgraduate degree qualification recognized by PMDC/PMC in the respective basic subject.
Teaching Experience: At least 5 years in the relevant subject as Assistant Professor in a recognized institution.
Research Work: At least 3 Research Papers as Principal Author published in a standard Medical/Dental journal.
ii) If no candidate with the above qualifications is available:
BDS or equivalent qualification recognized by PMDC/PMC with a postgraduate diploma in the respective basic subject recognized by PMDC/PMC.
Teaching Experience: At least 7 years as Assistant Professor in the respective subject.
Research Work: At least 5 Research Papers as Principal Author published in a standard Medical/Dental journal.
NOTE:
i) Applicants must provide hard copy of the online application form, along with two photocopy sets of all relevant documents & research papers, within 07 working days after the closing date. Failing this, the application shall be rejected.
ii) PMC Registration must be valid up to the closing date. If expired, proof of renewal (applied on or before the closing date) will be required.
iii) Research Papers:
Only original articles published in book-form on or before the closing date will be considered.
Review articles, case reports, translations, briefs, conference papers, and editorials will not be admissible.
Online published research in a recognized foreign journal will be accepted.
Journals must be duly indexed by PMC/PMDC, PubMed, Index Medicus, Excerpta Medica, or Embase. A recognition list of such journals by PMC/PMDC is required.
iv) Experience:
a) Government Sector: Experience on Contract, Current Charge, Acting Charge, and Ad-hoc basis will only be accepted if issued by the Appointing/Competent Authority.
b) OPS/Designated posts (up to 17-06-2021 only), BOM (Board of Management), TTS (Tenure Track System), University Cadre etc., shall be considered if recognized and issued by PM&DC.
c) Foreign/Autonomous Body/Private Institution: Experience will only be accepted if recognized and issued by PM&DC.
Age Limit:
Male: 30 to 50 + 5 years general relaxation = 55 years
Female: 30 to 50 + 8 years general relaxation = 58 years
Transgender: Age and sex will be based on CNIC.
