Test Schedule

The Education Testing Council (ETC) will conduct the Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) for students seeking admission to undergraduate programs in Pakistani universities.

  • Last Date for Online Registration: Tuesday, September 9, 2025 (24:00 hours)

  • Test Date: Sunday, September 28, 2025

  • Note: Any change in the test date will be notified through the official websites:


Who Can Apply for USAT?

Students who have:

  • Passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent examination (12 years of education).

  • Appeared in final HSSC or equivalent exams and are awaiting results.


Purpose & Validity

  • USAT is conducted quarterly in major cities of Pakistan.

  • USAT is valid for one year and also accepted for HEC undergraduate scholarships.

  • Universities will give due weightage to USAT scores as per their admission policy.

  • Students must submit the relevant USAT score card when applying to universities accepting USAT.


How to Apply

  1. Visit: http://etc.hec.gov.pk for online registration.

  2. In case of difficulty: Visit https://onlinehelp.hec.gov.pk

  3. Submit the application after completing all fields.

    • Applications in SAVE or INCOMPLETE mode will not be entertained.

    • Ensure all personal details (CNIC, name, phone number) are correct.

  4. CNIC mismatch between form and test-day document will disqualify the candidate.

  5. Complaints/queries must be resolved before the portal closes.


Test Fee & Payment Process

  • Fee must be paid via 1Link/1Bill Invoice payment services using a generated consumer number.

  • After payment, click “Verify Online Payment” on ETC dashboard.

  • Test fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.


Roll Number Slip & Test Day Instructions

  • Roll Number Slips will be downloadable from http://etc.hec.gov.pk and sent to registered email addresses.

  • Also sent via SMS (if number hasn’t changed networks).

  • Required on Test Day:

    • Printout of Roll Number Slip

    • Original CNIC/Passport

    • Under-18 candidates: B-Form + SSC/HSSC Certificate with picture


Test Centre Selection

  • Test will be held in major cities of Pakistan.

  • Applicants may choose any centre during registration.

  • ETC reserves the right to change centre if less than 250 applicants register for a location.


Important Prohibitions

  • The following are strictly prohibited inside the test centre:

    • Mobile phones

    • Electronic/calculating/recording/communication/imaging devices

    • Taking, uploading, or sharing images of the question book — a punishable offence under ETC rules.
