(A)

“Absolute Order” (ایبسولیوٹ آرڈر) سے مراد وہ حکم ہے جو Emergency Prohibition Order (EPO) کے تحت اس ایکٹ کے مطابق جاری کیا گیا ہو۔

“Act” (ایکٹ) سے مراد Punjab Enforcement and Regulation Act 2024 ہے۔

(C)

“Authority” (اتھارٹی) سے مراد وہ Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority ہے جو اس ایکٹ کی دفعہ 3 کے تحت قائم کی گئی ہو۔

(D)

“Authorized Officer” (اتھارائزڈ آفیسر) سے مراد وہ افسر ہے جو اس ایکٹ کی دفعہ 10 کے تحت مقرر کیا گیا ہو۔

(E)

“Board” (بورڈ) سے مراد وہ District Enforcement and Regulatory Board ہے جو اس ایکٹ کی دفعہ 12 کے تحت تشکیل دی گئی ہو۔

(F)

“Chairperson” (چیئرپرسن) سے مراد اتھارٹی کا چیئرپرسن ہے۔

(G)

“Code” (کوڈ) سے مراد Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (V of 1898) ہے۔

(H)

“Committee” (کمیٹی) سے مراد وہ کمیٹی ہے جو اس ایکٹ کے تحت تشکیل دی گئی ہو۔

(I) “Court” (کورٹ) سے مراد Court of Session ہے جو کوڈ کے تحت قائم کی گئی ہو اور اس میں Additional Sessions Judge کی عدالت بھی شامل ہے۔

(J) “Custodian of the State Property” (کسٹوڈین آف دی اسٹیٹ پراپرٹی) سے مراد وہ افسر یا ملازم ہے جو حکومت کی جائیداد کے انتظام، دیکھ بھال اور حفاظت کا ذمہ دار ہو۔

(K) “Department” (ڈیپارٹمنٹ) سے مراد وہ محکمہ ہے جس کی تعریف Punjab Government Rules of Business 2011 میں دی گئی ہے اور اس میں ماتحت محکمے، خودمختار ادارے، مقامی حکومتیں اور نیم سرکاری ادارے بھی شامل ہیں۔

(L) “Director General” (ڈائریکٹر جنرل) سے مراد وہ افسر ہے جو اتھارٹی کے تحت مقرر کیا گیا ہو۔

(M) “District” (ڈسٹرکٹ) سے مراد وہ ضلع ہے جو Punjab Land Revenue Act, 1967 (XVII of 1967) کے تحت نوٹیفائی کیا گیا ہو۔

(N) “Employee” (ایمپلائی) سے مراد وہ افسر، عملہ یا کوئی اور شخص ہے جو اتھارٹی کے تحت دفعہ 10 کے مطابق مقرر کیا گیا ہو۔

(O) “Encroachment” (انکروچمنٹ) سے مراد ریاستی جائیداد میں کسی بھی قسم کی مداخلت یا تجاوز ہے، خواہ وہ عارضی یا مستقل ڈھانچہ ہو یا منقولہ اشیاء۔

(P) “Enforcement” (انفورسمنٹ) سے مراد وہ تمام اقدامات یا عمل ہیں جو اس ایکٹ اور شیڈول شدہ قوانین کے نفاذ کو یقینی بنانے کے لیے ضروری ہوں۔

(Q) “Enforcement Costs” (انفورسمنٹ کاسٹس) سے مراد وہ اخراجات ہیں جو ہیئرنگ آفیسر کسی مجرم پر عائد کرے اور اس میں انفورسمنٹ اسٹیشن کی اضافی لاگت بھی شامل ہو۔

(R) “Enforcement Officer” (انفورسمنٹ آفیسر) سے مراد وہ افسر ہے جو اس ایکٹ کے تحت مقرر کیا گیا ہو۔

(S) “Enforcement Station” (انفورسمنٹ اسٹیشن) سے مراد وہ جگہ یا عمارت ہے جو حکومت کے نوٹیفکیشن کے ذریعے سب ڈویژن سطح پر مقرر کی گئی ہو۔

(T) “EPO” (ایمرجنسی پروہبیشن آرڈر) سے مراد وہ حکم ہے جو اس ایکٹ کے تحت جاری کیا گیا ہو۔

(U) “Fund” (فنڈ) سے مراد وہ Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority Fund ہے جو اس ایکٹ کے تحت قائم کیا گیا ہو۔

(V) “Government” (گورنمنٹ) سے مراد Government of the Punjab ہے۔

(W) “Grievance Redressal Commissioner” (گرویئنس ریڈریسل کمشنر) سے مراد وہ افسر ہے جو اتھارٹی کے تحت مقرر کیا گیا ہو۔

(X) “Hearing Officer” (ہیئرنگ آفیسر) سے مراد وہ افسر ہے جو اتھارٹی کے تحت مقرر کیا گیا ہو۔

(Y) “Illegal Occupier” (غیر قانونی قابض) سے مراد وہ شخص ہے جو ریاستی جائیداد پر ناجائز قبضہ رکھے، بشمول لیزدار یا لائسنس یافتہ جو میعاد ختم ہونے کے بعد بھی قابض رہے یا کسی allottee جو مختص کی گئی جائیداد کی مدت ختم ہونے یا منسوخ ہونے کے بعد بھی قابض ہو۔

(Z) “Independent Member” (انڈیپنڈنٹ ممبر) سے مراد اتھارٹی کا وہ رکن ہے جس کا ذکر دفعہ 4(1)(l) میں کیا گیا ہو۔

(AA) “Initiating Authority” (انیشیئیٹنگ اتھارٹی) سے مراد وہ افسر یا فورم ہے جو اس ایکٹ کے تحت تفتیش یا انکوائری شروع کرتا ہو۔

(BB) “Investigation Officer” (انویسٹیگیشن آفیسر) سے مراد وہ افسر ہے جو اتھارٹی کے تحت مقرر کیا گیا ہو۔

(CC) “Magistrate” (میجسٹریٹ) سے مراد وہ میجسٹریٹ ہے جو اس ایکٹ کے تحت اختیارات رکھتا ہو، بشمول دفعہ 14-A کے تحت میجسٹریٹ۔

(DD) “Notice” (نوٹس) سے مراد کوئی بھی نوٹس، سمون یا اطلاع جو اس ایکٹ کے تحت پیش کی جائے۔

(EE) “Offence” (اوپنسی) سے مراد کوئی بھی جرم یا خلاف ورزی جو اس ایکٹ یا شیڈول قوانین کے تحت ہو۔

(FF) “Offender” (آفینڈر) سے مراد وہ شخص ہے جس نے خلاف ورزی یا جرم کیا ہو یا جس کے خلاف اس بات کا معقول یقین یا شبہ ہو۔

(GG) “Penalty” (پینلٹی) سے مراد سزا یا جرمانہ جو اس ایکٹ یا شیڈول قوانین کے تحت دی گئی ہو۔

(HH) “Person” (پرسن) سے مراد ایک فرد، شراکت داری، فرم، کمپنی، ایسوسی ایشن، جائنٹ اسٹاک ایسوسی ایشن، کارپوریشن یا ایسی کوئی تنظیم۔

(II) “Prescribed” (پریسکرائبڈ) سے مراد وہ جو قواعد یا ضوابط کے تحت مقرر کیا گیا ہو۔

(JJ) “Prosecutor” (پراسیکیوٹر) سے مراد وہ شخص جو دفعہ 30 کے تحت مقرر یا تعینات کیا گیا ہو۔

(KK) “Public Nuisance” (پبلک نیوسنس) سے مراد کوئی غیر قانونی عمل یا کوتاہی جو عوام یا قریبی افراد کے لیے نقصان، خطرہ یا تکلیف پیدا کرے۔

(LL) “Public Place” (پبلک پلیس) سے مراد وہ جگہ، عمارت یا ٹرانسپورٹ ہے جہاں عوام کی رسائی ہو، بشمول پارکس، سڑکیں، ہائی ویز، اسکول، ہسپتال اور سرکاری دفاتر۔

(MM) “Reference” (ریفیرنس) سے مراد وہ حوالہ جو کسی محکمہ کی جانب سے اتھارٹی یا انفورسمنٹ اسٹیشن کو بھیجا جائے۔
